THE LIFE THAT PASSES BY MY SIDE
The Life That Passes by My Side is an intimate and honest book, built from fragments of life written over the years. Within its pages coexist family memories, work anecdotes, travel stories, reflections on the country, short tales, and, of course, a passion for football—all part of a sensitive gaze, attentive to the passage of time. The book moves between humor and irony, optimism and uncertainty, also making room for those moments of overwhelm that are part of the human experience. More than a simple collection of texts, it is an emotional radiography: a sincere testimony of affection, dreams, work, farewells, and everything that accompanies a life in motion. This work is born from the desire to share and to give thanks—to acknowledge those who have been part of the journey and to open a space where readers may find themselves reflected and, perhaps, discover that what passes through the author’s life also speaks to their own.
The book was written by my father, Enrique Luis Macía, and it was an honor for me to accompany this work with my art. The Life That Passes by My Side represented not only a creative endeavor, but also a gesture of gratitude and love.
